Overhead this month

       This picture, from New Zealand, shows an amazing night sky view.  Notice the lack of light pollution, allowing for the type of views most of us can only dream about.  I'm sure the lack of pollution helps as well :).

Great new pictures from the Hubble telescope and some pretty decent ones from the compound added this week.

Look up this month, taurus and the crab nebula are visible, as well as Andromeda and a host of other celestial treats.  We are going to start linking some RSS feeds here as well to keep up with the new finds popping up regularily.  For instance, a 6th gamma pulse emitter has been identified this week in Andromeda
